Can you talk?
Ellen Posted May 5, 2007
I've gone up on my antidepressant a tad, with doctor's permission. The physical side of the depression is lifting a little, but emotionally I'm still something of a wreck. I found out this week that two of my best friends are leaving Memphis. One is going to Hawaii, and one to North Carolina. *bleh*
How goes things for you? Better than me I hope?

Happy, actually - which is unusual for me.
Remember - you *will* start to feel better. Bit by bit, day by day.

Hi Edward!
I've been reading some good books lately. Just finished Atonement. Excellent book. And have started Exuberance by Kay Jamison. Also listening on CD to So Long and Thanks for All the Fish as a special treat, whenever I do the dishes.

Good. Enjoying things again is a good sign.
I really loved McEwan's 'Saturday'. It's really multi-levelled. I read it as a book about consciousness - reinforced by the fact that the main character is a neurosurgeon.
Must go and upgrade my operating system now, before heading off for Round 2 of Childrens Panel training.

Hi there. Have you heard from Susanne lately, by email or hootoo? I wondered how she was doing.
I'm getting ready to move, and am very excited about that. I've taken down all my posters now, so the current apartment feels lonely.
You sure have a busy message center. I never get that many messages.
I've had to go down on my Prozac, because I've been having some joint pain, and the Zac might be to blame. No worries, I have doctor's permission to decrease the dose, and I'm not quitting taking it all together. Hoping to see an improvement in my hands though, cause it might just be the onset of arthritis, which would bleep.
My current shrink is retiring, I am going to have to try a new doctor beginning in January.

I feel guilty because I keep meaning to e-mail Susanne - and keep forgetting. I'll send myself an e-mail at hone to remind me! The poor. I had more than an inkling she was trying to do too much too soon. I bet she's feeling really hard on herself.
I sympathise with you moving apartments. I hate all that kind of stuff.
Good luck with the med reduction. I hope it doesn't get you down. Don't forget to factor in some relaxation and 'distraction therapy' into your busy life.
And remember and put butter on Micio's paws when you move.
Have you seen my Swedish photos and the kids' shadow puppets? http://bonoboworld.blogspot.com
