Hello. smiley - smiley I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I don't think our paths have crossed before, but anyone who can quote Viv Stanshall, Alexei Sayle, Half Man Half Biscuit, Ian Dury and Dexys Midnight Runners *in the same page* can't be all bad. smiley - biggrin

Incidentally, I think I've worked out your current tagline, but I'd never get it past the filter...

Bravo!

Alexei Sayle's short stories and novels are remarkably good, too. I'd normaly avoid books written by a comedian. but this mummy intercourser can *write*!

Shamefully, the only book of his I've read is his graphic novel, "Geoffrey The Tube Train And The Fat Comedian". It's semi-autobiographical. smiley - erm And very funny. smiley - smiley

You've got me in trouble with Jimster, you have smiley - biggrin

I'd thoroughly recommend 'Barcelona Plates' - especially the first story. He's a genuinely talented writer. As well as a *very* funny man. I'm always quoting him.

From a recent R4 interview:
'Could AS Byatt to a stand-up set at a club in Scunthorpe? I don't think so!'

'John Paul Sartre? Best centre-half West Ham ever had! Talk about dead ball situation...faaaahkin' 'ell! He could prove the bleeder didn't exist!....'ere...Didn't you kill my brother?'
