There are a lot of people from all over, not just Britain, here. I'm sure you'll find many with the same views.... and others whose views differ. Just like the "real" world.

I am Canadian, but my father was American, and half my relatives are American and most of them live in Iowa.

Like you, I have a real interest in music of all kinds. So does Gosho whose space you will find here: U147203. You might consider doing some entries on music???

The best way to meet people with like interests is to contribute, contribute, contribute, though, I must admit I haven't done a lot in the way of "entries", I have posted on a lot of "conversations". You might want to see what a few of us look like, so check here: F119314?thread=421977 In the first posting, there is a link to another site with a lot of us there.

Don't feel the need to pore thru all the postings in the above link, you can check out the last few pages of postings. You'll see that there is a lot of friendly banter which sort of meanders, but be sure to say Hi.
