does anybody else find this game devilishly difficult HELP

It is difficult, I didn't complete it. Where you got to?

the storage compartment on the vogon constructer ship, its damned hard my friend, i jus only started reading the book and that dont help, brilliant book though

Hey I've been stuck on the same bit for over a year now! I think theres the possibility that its absurdly simple, but just the kind of thing you don't think of! It's infuriating!

I'll give you hints and tips if you ask me, I'm happy to help.
The chap in the Vogon hold I assume is trying to get the Atomic vector Plotter or the Babel Fish.

Ask and I shall help or offer tips if you don't want to be totally helped but would like a helpful hard jab in the right direction.

How do you get the vector plotter? I downloaded a walkthrough once but it made it too easy and boring.

you need to get the babel fish so you understand vogon.
once you examine the machine it tells you which word to listen for in which part of the captains poem when he reads it to you.
you type "word" on the keyboard and it gives you the plotter.
you normally have enough time after being read poetry before you are thrown out of the vogon airlock.
