h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Back on Post 1289 (by Paul H.), and Post 1290 (by Jabberwock.), it was suggested that the poem be ‘put together’ – for what it is worth. Well, having nothing better to do than find a cast iron excuse to avoid the invasion of too many small children for comfort, I have done just that – ‘put the Cat and the Albatross together’.
Rather to my surprise, I realised that there have actually been only six ‘regular’ contributors (including myself). There have bee four others but, most of them have just contributed one (relevant) verse and even then, with some the connections were pretty obscure.
Jabberwock – though not the first contributor to the saga – needs especial thanks as the founder/owner of the thread. Thank you also for allowing it to get rather ‘taken over at times’ whilst still contributing graciously.
Lucky Llareggub, the earliest contributor and very regular but faded when the tale nearly came to a stand still. What happened – we need you back
Both Kangalew and Paul H. have been pretty regular throughout the proceedings and Stellarbillynick s been a regular contributor lately.
I have edited very little – other than things that didn’t relate to the tale at all.
