First Feature Film

This just came in from Guy, my 25 year old son who is about to direct his first feature film. They're shooting it in Colombia, which straight away gives an idea of the look and feel:

Dad

Ruben and I are now up to speed and preparing for d-day. So much to do, but I reckon time is just about on our side.

The locations that we've seen are everything I expected and more. If nothing else people will be impressed by those. Having said that
I think there is a great deal more for everyone to expect. The actors are great and the contrast between them all is something special.

It's a bit odd having lunch with one of the lead actors, then having 3 girls running over for his autograph (he's a top soap type chap) and to hear him express how pleased he is that after 10 years of acting he finally has a chance to act in a Colombian feature.

We are still struggling to find a cameraman, but no doubt we'll nail one down soon.

Guy

Isn't that great...

Back ...

... from Paris. What a city. Although we left it to go to Versailles, France (not Varsailles Ill, Ind, or Ohio) where I grabbed a bicycle from our friends and peddled off to the Grand Canal with images of yesteryear in my mind. Difficult to keep the French Revolution and then Kosovo out of my mind as I wandered through time in this beautiful part of the world. Time does heal - and there's huge hope now for Israel. I'm wandering. More thoughts tomorrow.

Paris

Off to Paris for a weekend, ending up with discussion at UNESCO about a millennium project.
I'll be posting about that if it comes to anything. In the meantime I'm up and away for a long weekend.

Big Day

Today TDV'sgood old, founding, board of TDV hands over to a leaner one. Raises a jumble of thoughts in my mind, good and bad, happy and sad, relieved and not. Tomorrow (which never comes) I'll be able to sort out which of these win out. But for now time to sign.
