Bio

Hello! My name is Gerald B. Lorentz. My wife, Helen, and I are retired in Honolulu. I'm 91 years of age, and most of those years were devoted to grasping for every form of knowledge humanly possible. I would like to share the results. Before I continue, you should know my credentials. There are a lot of loose nuts making claims like this. Hence, it's imperative for YOU to know my qualification. I'm a doubting Thomas by nature.

At age five I searched for evidence of Santa Claus and found he's a phony. At age seven I make my own reflecting telescope and studied the heavens. I also made radio crystal sets, tube sets, model airplanes at age ten, and had my General Class FCC amateur license, W6BPL, when I was thirteen.

When I was in high school studying chemistry I experimented with explosives and almost blew myself to smithereens. I graduated from San Jose State University with distinction. My major was philosophy and psychology with a minor in general science.

To make a very long story very short, I learned several trades: tool-maker, machinist/plumber in the American merchant marine, senior instrument maker with NASA (was National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics then), chief electrician in merchant marine, Radio/Electronics Officer in merchant marine. I owned several business: Radio/tv repair shop, two businesses on Wall Street in New York City, and a publishing corporation in Nevada.

As a radio/electronics officer in the merchant marine I had 90% of my time available for personal study, and so I read hundreds of books. When in port I was a free man and spent my time visiting the countryside or the cities. I visited about every continent and every important city on the planet such as London, Paris, Moscow, Istanbul, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, etc. I witnessed many strange customs, became acquainted with all variaties of peoples. This storehouse of information is reflected and recorded in my favorite book: HOMO, 99 and 44/100% NONSAPIENS. I digitized this book and made it available on THIS site for everyone. It's 305 pages of what I learned in 91 years of life, and it's ABSOLUTELY FREE. Please read it. If you thirst for knowledge as I have all my life, you will love it. If you have fixed ideas and your brain is encased in concrete, you will hate it. Merely click the title of the book, and it's yours.
