who am i?
i fell in love with hitchikers back in the 80s when the tv episodes were on PBS. i was in college at the time and it fit great with my developmental stage - immature but in an adult way. so now i read the books religiously (ironic, no?) every so often and quote from them (to my friends delight or dismay (depending) all the time. of course i am more mature now (i think) but still need to nourish my inner, humor-needy child.
the mature part of me is a psychiatrist working primarily with individuals who are seriously mentally ill and involved with the criminal justice system. hard to find much humor there.
basically, life is fun, and busy, and at times hard. need a break at times....

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
