About MikeTheC...
Hi!
I can't believe someone actually reads these sort of silly little introductions, but since you took the time to click, I'll take the time to write something!
My name is Mike and I live in Florida. I moved here in 1982 from northern Ohio and have actually survived to tell about it! :-)
I am a graphic designer, a dyed-in-the-wool, drank-the-kool-aid Macintosh user, and have been since 1986. I have filled many of life's roles, such as consultant, trainer, and system administrator, and mafia hit man. (Just kidding!)
What else is there to say? Well, I like science fiction (have you seen the Battlestar Galactica 2004 series? I love it!), enjoy writing and photography, and have dabbled a bit with several distributions of Linux (Red Hat, Fedora, Mandrake).
Music-wise, I'm a huge fan of 80s rock, blues and jazz, barbershop and even American folk tunes. Of particular note are, I think, Sam Pacetti, The Jalepeno Brothers, Acoustic Eidolon, and Steve Garvey. I've had the priviledge of meeting all of these people and they are some of the finest humans you'll ever encounter (and, of course, they are highly-skilled musical artists).
That's about it from "this side of the pond". Thanks for stopping by!
Mike
