Hello, hola, and all that...
Good greetings on you! Just want to introduce myself as a new Researcher. My name is Josh and I'm from America (a.k.a. "The States" or the "U.S.", etc.) -- specifically the Washington D.C. area.
I like to think that I'm the friendly sort and a huge fan of Mr. Adams, as well as all things British. In my various writings and such I will probably attempt at humor -- which may come across more as libel (or is it slander?) but I assure you I never mean any malice toward anyone. I may also attempt creativity and/or wit -- but I'm certain that you will let me know the varying degrees of my success in this. In all these attempts, be assured there will be great errors in grammar, spelling, and of course, logic. Misdirected idiomatic expressionism is a favorite pasttime (see opening statement). My vocabulary, while vast, is also quite improperly defined which will lead to the occasional malapropism which you will kindly presume to be intentional.
A brief explanation of my screenname is in order... while attending college ("university" on your side of the pond?) I encountered a good friend who had already chosen the name "Zaphod" for his screenname on that early Sperry Univac 1100 (mainframe computer) and so I was forced to be creative and think of one of my own. Coincidentally, (or was it?) I had also just started playing Dungeons and Dragons and needed a name for my 5th level magic-user. Thus the name "Zhree" was born and I've been using it for the past couple of decades. I think DNA would be pleased.
