Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!
I'm an <./>ACE</.>.......it stands for something.... Ah yes! That's it - Assistant Community Editor!
I'm here to help you round the magical maze of h2g2 (fondly known by researchers as hootoo), and to help start you off, I've created a little list of links, just for you, so click here A1159210 and have a look at them when you have time.
If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo so sane person should ever go.....
......but seems as no-one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!
Have a look around, and don't be afraid to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those )
Remember, if you get lost, just keep turning left and you'll eventually get back to the beginning. Failing that, just click on MY SPACE on the left hand side of your screen and you'll get back to your personal space.
Remember, I'm here to help.

Hello, thanks for your welcome message. I read about h2g2 on Wikipedia (A918434 in your parlance, I believe). I contribute over there and don't expect to be writing much if anything here, but I wanted to have a look. The complications of the site are a little intimidating at first, so I appreciate the guidance you provided.

Thanks, Vicki. I've been reading about the h2g2 process and I do have a question. I think I understand the process of writing, selection and editing by which entries originate in the Guide and are included in the Edited Guide. Once an entry is in the Edited Guide, however, is there any process for changing it (to correct prior errors or to incorporate recent developments)?

If I remember correctly, you have to contact the sub-Ed who put worked on it once it was "recommended". I have a feeling only they can make any alterations.
But, having said that, it should be that through Peer Review any queries should be iron out, but it's not always the case.
If you want to ask questions about Sub-Ed's, click here <./>subeditor</.> and they should be able to help you further.

Hi.
To correct mistakes in Edited Guide Entries, post a comment at <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>. It's considered polite to start the subject line with EF, so that people know what the thread is when it appears in their conversation list.
Editorial Feedback is the only place I ever start new threads these days.
I've posted on Wiki a bit, but I'm not a registered user.
