Welcome to my tree house
This spot is intended as a restful place, a haven of rest and peace. The breeze is soft and fragrant and the air is always soft and warm. Fresh juicy strawberries tantalize the taste buds, and of course, they are accompanied with sweet whipped cream. Ymm..!
I surf the pavement of my mountain home regularily, running about 10-12 km three times a week. I'm addicted to the endorphins that this releases, especially as I listen to my music. Lately I've been listening to Loreena McKennit, the Lord of the Rings, and the Shrek soundtracks.
Spring is here and everything seems to be singing with the joy of growth. Anything seems possible with this new season and there is such enthusiasm. Here's a bit of writing from when I was twelve."Springing steps, its spring-time! All is happy and filled with hope. Anything is possible---ANYTHING! Why, a person
could even leap over that five foot fence. Take a run, a jump, leave the foot, resting on the top board and with an exultant whoop, spring with a tip toe move, into the grassy yard. The mind's eye saw it all so clearly, but the foot did not get the message...not resting firmly, as told by the brain, on the top board at all, the foot, to it's horror, only grasped the edge and slipped stupidly back down the fence side leaving the body, propelled by the exhuberant promise and forward motion to cartwheel over the fence and lay in a shocked ball on the other side. Eyes saw the white bone of shin, that lost her battle with sharp biting fence edge, after shoe lost her battle with sharp biting fence edge. Hand clapped in fear over exposed bone to cover the sight. Body tried to pad shin bone over the years yet---still there, ---the dent where fence won.
