Absinth is green, and pretty strong. I should know, I've got a bottle leering at me from my bookshelf. I'm going to ignore it for the moment though. I'll tell you if it tastes like apple when I've had some.

We can now safely tell you it does not even remotely tastes like apple.
It tasted (as it is meant to be) like anice.
And we did not drink enough yet to notice any actual hallucinative effects.
