Greetings from southern Indiana, land of the people called Hoosiers.
Greetings from southern Indiana, land of the people called Hoosiers. A name that actually has ties back to jolly old England. One half mile south of us is the beautiful Ohio river and then Louisville, Ky, home of the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. No wonder our kids are above average (in weight that is). I also had my art gallery there for 33 years, until I retired 2 years ago.
I was forced into being a senior citizen just because of my age. What I really wanted to stay in my thirties, but the gods would have it no other way. I always liked summer over fall.
Well, about ten years into my business HHG came along and was a perfect fit for my store. We lived it day in day out ,totally amazed by DNA’s wit and genius. When Ruby came to town I could not ask for more. Along with my nature and space paintings, we also sold jewelry, silver, gold, meteorites, all kinds of crystals, rocks and fossils, and finally one of my favorites, dinosaur dung.
So now I am in my 60’s, my wife and I have gone our separate ways, my daughter and son are both married with two kids of their own, and I share my space with my dog Pearl, who is presently in exile from the dog star system. We like to travel, camp, hike, and most of all, chase squirrels out of the yard.

I would like to post a link to my website on this space; but I’d better ask lil, my ace (of which I am very honored that she is my ace) if it is allowed.
As I metioned in opening, the word “Hoosier” is British in origin. It derives from the word hoo meaning rocks or cliffs edge. The name was then applied to the unsophisticated inhabitants of southern Indiana and eventually worked it’s way northward to encompass all the residents of Indiana.
I look forward to being a member of this unique online community and wait with anticipation for peoples comments.
