i'm not sure i know what you mean. i do assure you that no disrespect could have been meant, whatever it was. h2g2 seems to be all in good fun, and i have no wish for it to be otherwise.

Dont get me wrong, im not having a go, forget it......i'll lay off the coffee from now on !

i'm still curious... i looked through all the strings we've both posted in, and i don't even see where we've even had so much as a difference of opinion.

was it perhaps a case of mistaken identity?

Well, the first time i 'thought' something seemed a bit iffy was when i said about the seaburn centre, and you quoted me, and went on about it being lousy (which of course it is !), it just seemed a bit strong and as if you were questioning whether the event had taken place, but i thought better and went on as it was obviously meant, harmless.....


Then, soon after, i posted on the thread about band names, and said how me and my mate had come to get the band name (strange but true !), and straight after you posted with what at the time seemed to be another questioning of my post as to whether i was making it up.....you know in a sarcastic kind of way........basically i put 2 & 2 together and got 5

don't worry about it...at all! i thought it was at least partly mistaken identity!

as for the rock band name, it's exactly as i posted. the term "pagan babies" has been haunting me all my life, so elegant and poetic and yet so weird.

obviously it would be no good for a breakfast cereal, a chain of coffeeshops or a political party; the only possible use would be for a rock group. when i saw that thread i jumped at the occasion to get it out in the open. all i hope now is that a real rock group will use it.

i'll share this with you, it doesn't really fit in the thread...

my favorite REAL name for a REAL rock group was G.O.D., short for "girls on drugs". i saw them a couple of times at the mabuhay gardens , an SF punk club in the 80's, and they came to a couple of our parties... anyway, the on drugs part was no joke, i went back a few years later they were all dead!

'Pagan babies' does have a certain ring to it 'tis true !............their 1st album could be called 'Solstice' or something .............or maybe not
