Long time HHG2G American fan
It's interesting to see the Douglas Adams' ideas turn into a "real" Hitchhiker's Guide.
A number of years ago (1998), Terry Jones wrote this book, Starship Titanic, apparently set in the H2G2 universe. DA apparently approved, and the two of them toured the US promoting it. I met DA that day, and he gave a talk about his relationship with the Pythons, the H2G2 radio show, and--doing a "real" H2G2 reference.
And here it is. Now H2G2 seems to a bit like Wikipedia, but it seems you actually have editors here, so the quality of the few articles I've read so far beat Wikipedia.
Now where's my towel...
