Gravity:one humanoid's view
Gravity: A most interesting subject. Some have been known to make comment on how much it sucks. This is, of course, totally due to one's perspective.Space as we all know is huge, enormous, in fact so mind boggling vast that one's brain would explode with the mere thought of the vastness of the whole thing. When one examines one's position in space one becomes drawn to the fact that there really is no up or even down for that matter. Therefore if one was to take into account this disturbuing fact, then England could be at the bottom of the world with Wales poking it's bottom into the Atlantic and the North sea would no longer actually be North! Kangaroos would be bounding across the top of the world and koalas would still be falling out of gum trees.
Gravity also has an effect on male pattern baldness. Ongoing research points to males of the species Homo Erectus (which is occasionally a contradiction in terms according to the female of the species)having no hair follicles at all! The theory goes thus: when a male of the species is born, the hair keeps pace with gravity giving the appearance of hair growth.Sadly when the male approaches the end of puberty, varying between 15 years and sometimes in the case of politicians,70,gravity catches up with them. The hair stem then starts to appear around the chin, throat and cheek areas, often reaching the chest area. This is in direct correlation to the hair on the head regressing. As the male ages, the hair starts to appear in increasing amounts around the nose and ear area.
This had given researchers in Australia and New Zealand cause to celebrate until they realised that bit about space and one's perspective in it. In retaliation the Australian researchers developed a beverage that contained a large proportion of alcohol and thus as a consequence, began another saga in gravity theory.
