I'm not familiar with it unless it is related to the book "Contact" by Carl Sagan. I'm in the position of having to write a technical mathematical article on my subject matter now, so that people have a more thorough grounding in the nature of my arguments before they go slandering me.

I recommend you watch it. I really enjoyed it.
From IMDb's synopsis:
"The film is about a mathematical genius, Maximillian Cohen, who narrates much of the movie. Max, a number theorist, theorizes that everything in nature can be understood through numbers, and that if you graph the numbers properly patterns will emerge. He is working on finding patterns within the stock market, using its billions upon billions of variables as his data set with the assistance of his homemade supercomputer, Euclid..."

Hmm. Ok. Nothing to do with that book I mentioned. Some day perhaps I'll take your advice, but now that I know what it's about I'm not sure I'm interested (unless it's a tutorial also on how to do what Max did and I can get rich).

Nothing to do with Contact, one of my favorite books.

Out of my limited reading, it happens to be one I've read, and I liked it, ridiculous as the premise was. You'll be pleased to find out that a psychiatrist recommended it. What I have been dealing with could only be handled effectively by a mathematician who had already become inured to strange thoughts. This is how I reason upon my existence/experience/discoveries.
