Daylight Saving Time explained. Interesting side note, President Medvedev has decided Russia will not return to standard time at all. Year long DST.

Well, try "tilt", it's not as nauseating.
Also try "recursion", "anagram", "the loneliest number" and "the answer to life, the universe and everything."

I used the control at the right to speed it up and waited for Pluto make one revolution. It was

Here's a wonderful time lapse video taken from the ISS with a low light camera showing the night sides of the Earth. Especially interesting are the thunderstorms and aurorae. http://vimeo.com/32001208

I hate pennies. I really do. I hate the smell they leave on your fingers. (Copper is actually odorless, but it creates an odor upon contact with our skin. http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/News/2006/October/25100601.asp ) I hate the hassle of them. I hate the motto on them.
I often just toss pennies when I leave a store. I call it 'spreading luck'. While I'm not superstitious, many people are. I secretly hope all my pennies land face down.
I'm damn good at "flicking" pennies. I take one between my middle finger and thumb, aim with my elbow and "snap" my fingers. I hit a friend once by accident. I nearly took out his eye. (Not really, he just whined like I did.)
Apparently the only reason we still mint pennies is because of lobbying from zinc companies and Coin Star. Coin Star is a company that makes and markets change machines that sort and count your loose change and then either take 12% or give you the entire amount in credit at places like Amazon who in turn gives them a cut for the business. We Americans are too lazy to either count and roll our own change or even just drop by our banks and have them do it for us for free.

Oh, and here's bonus video.
The Houston Metro Light Rail service... the most accident prone in the nation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwcYcedLxZc
This is one more reason to be nervous while driving in Houston.

The joy I get from seeing cars mangled like that is tempered by the fact that each time it happens hundreds of people (commuters) are inconvenienced by the inattention of one (driver).

Have you seen this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16163931 The video on the MSNBC link is pretty neat, if a bit long winded.

Here's the MIT website with the videos. I think I kinda sorta understand what's going on which means I surely don't.
