novosibirsk - as normal as I can be........

Hello again Elena,

Now that I a at home , and using my own PC, ( as opposed to the one on my desk at work! ) I can give you a better reply to your post this morning.

Welcome to HooToo, I see that you are new to it all. You should not worry about looking at other peoples conversations! The Forum is a place for the free echange of ideas and feelings ( sometimes causing arguments). You can say pretty well what you like within the Editors rules of course, but almost everything is acceptable, so join in if you can.

I have added you to my "Friends List" and you are free to post into my personal Space if you wish to. Ask anything you want to!.

Just out of interest, you have not specified your nationality - but I will tell you that I am British, and that my HooToo name "Novosibirsk" is in honour of a very dear Russian friend ,Vadimir, now sadly dead, who met his wife ( a Siberian lady from near Lake Baikal ) in Novosibirsk. So the nickname is for him.

Hope to hear from you again, in Personal Space , or on the Forum,

Kind regards
Novo

It's really smiley - magic making friends on hootoo, only friendships tend to be time- and soul-consuming...Its the total irresponsibility of these cyberspace relationships that seems to give one the - insolence? - to invite one more person to one's world and step into their...As one nice person here wrote 'you can bugger off without having to say that you are bored',or something like this, you may check on benjaminpmoore's page.(I never got my slang right, so exuse my French here, anyway, it isn't mine).
Oh, I'm really smiley - sorry about this introduction, I'm not that self-conscious, I just tend to be over-talkative as learners would.
My mother comes from Irkutsk, which is near Baikal, but she moved to Moscow with my father when they got married, so this is where I was born and have lived all my life. I have never been to Siberia, this is wrong, but can't be helped with the cost of travelling being beyond my dreams. I have five children aged between 7 and 17,smiley - weird,
and loads of work for money and fun, as I really enjoy teaching children and teenagers, and a husband of course, who is trying to put up with seeing my back when I smiley - lurk on hootoo. Fortunately, he has an on-line interest of his own, genealogy.smiley - ok
I have two favourite words/expressions in English - one is 'gentle', it isn't easy to find a Russian equivalent to it, and another is 'being there for somebody', so, before saying goodbye, I would like to thank one 'usually calm and gentle' soul for being there for me.
smiley - goodluck and kind regards to J.

Stupid of me to answer my own letter, but thought I could use this thread.
Couldn't sleep, did some lurking, stumbled across Grommit in Azar's
pictures.smiley - ok
It's always a relief after wandering around this fleshless space to find a glimpse of visual reality. smiley - biggrin
I have a grey Britannic, a very typical yellow-eyed one, you can easily picture him.smiley - cat
Thanks for your kind words at my 'celebration'. smiley - smiley I may try to answer some day.
So far I'm beginning to feel less awkward here, after all, this place claims to be a guide to Universe and everything, so even a Russian/half Jewish commited Christian of no clear denomination may be indispensible as a smiley - weird but integral part of it.
Kind regards to both of you, children and grandchildren.
