I am a Scotsman living in the lovely Shetland Isles with my wife and have recently purchased this computer, on what I am writing. I therfore know very little about forums and am apprehensive about all this!
I like sports and (am going to have to leave this just now to watch the Ashes highlights [don't know why I bothered]) photography and am trying to get to grips with digital post production but not succeeding very well.
We enjoy foreign travel, the most expensive part now is getting of the island, having been recently to the Pacific North West of USA, where we got wet and blown about, just like living at home really.
Next on our social calendar this year are the Fire Festivals here in Shetland which start in early January and continue on until mid March in different parts of the islands. The main one is Up-Helly-Aa in Lerwick on the last Tuesday in January, which has around 900 guizers all carrying torches and setting fire to a galley. It is some sight I can assure you.
