The Essence of My Existence - 265 Words Pocket Edition
This is of course a tremendously exciting moment. First of all, it has been a long time since my last English writing experience, and I have to admit that the process of creating an introduction for my personal page is surprisingly difficult at the moment. Without the Babelfish1 translator I'd be totally lost.
Secondly, I am writing for the Guide. Of course I've read the books. Of course I've watched the series. Of course I've listened to the broadcasts, read the radio scripts, played the Infocom adventure, and of course I am in a state of hopeful despair as regards the film. So my excitement should be perfectly reasonable, shouldn't it?
Besides becoming enthusiastic about Adams' oeuvre und trying to write texts in an obscure language called 'English', there exist some other activities to fill my day. I study computer sciences and the Russian language at the university of Salzburg, Austria, which consumes most of my time. If there's time left, I love shooting some rolls of film with my wonderful Olympus OM-1 or my fabulous Olympus OM-3. If there's much time left, I love taking the next train to some distant destination just to get this special 'backpacker feeling'.
Well, I think that'll do for the moment. Please feel free to comment or ask something. Oh, and if you're wondering about my nick: the department/arrival displays at Praha2 hl. n. are labelled 'Pragotron', which bears to me a certain resemblance to the naming convention of 1970's-movie-style killer robots, and it also ... well, to cut a long story short, it's just a cool word.
