Hello Mr D
Enjoyed your time away Larping?
Just a quick note to point you in the direction of a recently released cd, not your normal fare I know, called Rogues Gallery a collection of pirate songs, chanteys and sea ballads. We picked it up the other day and it's very good (also great value with about 18-20 songs on each of the two cds). There are many songs where the lyrics are lost due to victorian sensibilities when they were collected and written down.
It is of course a loose tie in to the pirates of the caribean movie but non the worse for that.

Cool, I may have to check that out... and the loss of lyrics to Victorian values won't be a problem, myself and the other LARPers will just make up something rude that fits the tune.

Having listened to both CDs properly now, a couple of the songs do have just enough bawdy lyrics to get you in the right frame of mind for making up your own...
Others make you giggle at Victorian prudery that has sailors singing songs about nothing more ribald than girls combing their hair.
