Sent you an email about this as well, but as this might be quicker... yep, we'll be heading to the Living History Fayre.

Dave has a Maelstrom get together (or something like that) at 3pm so has asked me to get him to the pub where its being held by 4pm, but otherwise no problem. Do you have any idea of estimated arrival times yet?

And the Coventry Ring Road is not compulsary. I can provide directions to avoid it

I think we've already got a route from Swindon to the Fayre vaguely worked out so ring road won't be a problem... I think it was more going to be a concern if you weren't going to be there and we decided to come round to yours and say 'hi'.

I've yet to work out a route to the exhibition centre from my house, I'd like to try to avoid Leamington City Centre if I can as I always get horribly confused there. I've also had assurances from Dave that the car park is much improved, otherwise I'd be avoiding the place...

The only thing to remember is I'll have to leave there by around 3:30 so I can get Dave to this meeting (I think the details are on Pagga). And you're all welcome to come back to mine for a cuppa before setting off to Swindon if you want.

I'll consult with Mrs. D about coming back for a cuppa... I think she wants to set off quite early so she can avoid driving in the dark (which she's only done once so far, and that was on a route she's familiar with) but I doubt it'll be too much of a problem as she's a much better driver than she gives herself credit for.

I did something slightly embarrassing yesterday...

I checked Shard's Schtuff to see if the Links had been finished and if not I'd do it as it was strictly speaking my job anyway... and found that 'Costume and Kit' had apparently been replaced by Kaz with a page that got rid of all my new links and restored all the broken ones. So I sent an e-mail to Kaz and M expressing my displeasure at this turn of events... I then realised why it had happened. On Sunday I changed 'Costume and Kit' to 'Costume, Kit and Stuff' (because it encompasses so much more than just costume and kit) but hadn't updated the link from the central links page... so I very quickly sent an apology for being miffed.

Regarding the cuppa, no pressure... It is something I'm sure you guys can decide on Saturday, just thought I'd let you know you were welcome.

Also thought you might want to find out what the Maelstrom meet is about... It did occur to me you and Jeff might want to tag along if its relevant generally. If so, Mrs D and Lucy could always retire to mine for the duration.

I hope the apology to ~m~ and Kaz was suitably embarassed. I'm still trying to follow whatever Kev was up to, since he seems to have taken a very convoluted route to trying to update his character's profile. For the moment, I'm resisting stepping in there and sorting it out for him, as that's kind of defeating the object of running things on a wiki.

~m~ was beginning to tear her hair out last night trying to sort out the problems with the forums. Things are looking a lot better now thank goodness.

Lil's can get a bit wierd at times, but we're a friendly bunch... plus there are sofas (although they're being reupholstered), tea and cinnamon buns.

I've started going back through all my old Shards related emails digging out the various pieces of info that Andy has leaked over the years. At the moment, I'm looking at mails from January 2002, which puts how long I've been playing the game into perspective!

When I find something interesting, I'm tagging it and then gradually pulling stuff over onto the Shards wiki...

Check out the stuff I put there so far about Faerie, Dust and Salem.

It's kind of scary to think that the vast majority of system background information is only held in players mail boxes.

Had a look at Lil's... I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm supposed to put a posting in the Foyer I guess...

Posting in either the Foyer or the lastest thread is okay...

I found it quite daunting at first as well, but I soon got into the swing of things.
