h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi!
I was just wondering, but can please someone explain how digital tv works (in layman's terms if possible)? Also, any information on how interactive tv works as well would be great! I'm doing a project on it and I'm not quite sure how it works.
I've looked on the web but I can find is adverts, so if anyone can give me the information I will be very greatful!

Your best bet for digital TV is just to enter the phrase "Digital TV" into the search bar at the top of your screen (I think it's there no matter which skin you use).

When you say doing a project, do you mean external to h2g2? Or on h2g2? For the former, use all resources possible, including anything you can find on h2g2. A brief search reveals A420887 as a source of information for digital radio, and I know that's not quite what you're looking for but it might be a start. There's also A882182 - something about Digital recording.

For the latter, well, I'm glad to see you're thinking of writing already! If you want information, you could try a few Digital TV company websites, some university websites, or try entering this phrase into Google:

"Digital TV Information"

or

"Digital TV" Information

Just fiddle around with search engines. I'm sure there's information out there, just a matter of finding it .
