Hey I was bored and just looking around and I saw you were married on my birthday!!! so I thought I would say Hello!!

In Houston hell, eh? That's where my husband was living when I met him, and he doesn't miss it a bit! I think it's hard for a non-Texan to live there. They're a different breed of people, that's for sure! And the humidity!

It's not even so much the people, it's the humidity!!!
Even though that whole cowboy hat, wranglers, rodeo, big truck driving, think I am still in the wild, wild, west thing is a little too!! Hey at least it's not everyone, well we have had a lot of people moving here from other states!!

That's true ... lots of business opportunities, and a lower cost of living than a lot of places!

We've been having very bad humidity lately. My husband says it's been Houston-type humidity. We just don't get the oppresive heat to go with it! We're considering getting an air conditioner for the "main" sections of the house (we have a small one in the bedroom), just to get the humidity out of the place! It's an older house, and things like the front door have been painted too many times ... he has to go out the back door, go around front, and kick the front door open every morning! *That's* humid!

Yes it is!!! That's probably why they rip down anything in Houston over 40 years old!!

Hey it's been nice here since yesterday afternoon, when we had a real bad rain and today it only got to 75 degrees!!! You know it's a cold front!!

Now *that's* a cold front! Have the natives started wearing coats yet?

I think I was!!! No it was my ex-husband who dragged me here!!! and now my company I work for is based here!!

I think maybe she should stay drugged for *staying* in Houston ...

Well that actually might make it a little better!! Hey the weather has really been nice the last couple of days, we only got up to 85 today and last night it was about 69-70. That does make it a little bit more tolerable!!

I was just talking about this to Gosho ... he's in Austin ... he said they've actually had the windows open for some fresh air!

Yes it's so nice right now!!!! I have the door open on my balcony!!!! I love it!! almost reminds me of California, warm days and cool nights. I never ran my air conditioning when I lived there, in fact I didn't even know that it didn't work in my car until I moved here, it did get fixed real soon after I moved

Yeah, bit at least it's dry heat and not a 100% humidity!!! I don't mind the heat, hate the humidity!!!
