Rivkeh Yankee-Shoes... bashing about the BoE again Posted Sep 9, 2002
Yeah... I bet it hurts a lot. I'm getting "I am my Beloved's and He is mine" in Hebrew... for now that's it. I may do a celtic or elven ivy with flowers border later, but I want to live with this one for a while first. I'm making my Mom go first because I want to see how it all goes anyway.

Thanks! I hope I don't chicken out. I found the lady because this Christian Biker (go figure) had this gorgeous tatt on his bicep. It was a really cliche subject, but executed in the most artfull manner. I talked to him and his wife (both of whom were extensively decorated) and got the number of the artist. It turns out that she wrote some of the guidelines for tattooing in Michigan, she trained almost every shop in the state, she's retired and just loves doing it so she only charges for the materials (everyone gets a new needle, and of course the ink). She doesn't stencil, it's all freehand. She's charging $25 for my mom's and probably only $20 for mine!

That sounds great ... and pretty much the best way to go! I love the fact that she's an artist, and not just a "tracer" ... that seems to be the way a lot of them do it, and I'd much rather have an artist that loves the artform!

Yeah... plus everything she does will be different, even if the subject is the same. You won't ever find your tatt on someone else! I'll let you know how it goes.
Well, the sandman is clubbing my brains out. Goodnight!
