Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

I'm an <./>ACE</.>.......it stands for something, Ah yes, that's it Assistant Community Editor!

I'm here to help you round the magical maze of h2g2 (fondly known by researchers as hootoo), and to help start you off, I've created a little list of links, just for you, so click here A1159210 and have a look at them when you have time.

If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo so sane person should ever go.....

......but seems as no-one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!

Have a look around, and don't be afraid to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those )

Remember, if you get lost, just keep turning left and you'll eventually get back to the beginning. Failing that, just click on MY SPACE on the left hand side of your screen and you'll get back to your personal space.

Remember, I'm here to help. smiley - cheerup

Thanks Ace and sorry it took me sometime to get back to you. I have just updated my personal information and would be grateful for your advice and opinion to if this is okay and what additional information or questions I need to address.

God Bless.

Hi Tony (psst....we actually share the same name, but I'm the feminine version smiley - winkeye)

Right. I've had a look at your personal space. It's good. It says what you're about and what you want out of life. Each and every individual person has a completely different Personal Space introduction, so there isn't any wrong or right way of doing it.

The one thing I must say, is that you can't advertise on H2G2, as it is run by the BBC, and I would also advise against putting personal information on here, such as address and telephone numbers. There are some people on here who are, how shall I put it, not quite what they appear to be. (If you see what I mean).

I can contact someone for you if you wish and send them in this direction for them to have a look.

Another thing you need to be aware of is that H2G2 isn't a "chat room" as some people think it is. It's sort of like a message board and research area where people talk about everything and anything.

I also need to tell you that I'm not an ACE any more. I had to give up my badge due to real life stuff, but I'm available for help any time you need me.

Hi Toni,

Does having my PO Box Number and Email Address constitute advertising?

I have deleted the telephone number following your advice and also my PO Box Number and email address incase this breeches BBC guidelines, but I am happy to leave them off although it would be nice to have my PO Box number if that is okay.

Who is the new ACE and could you introduce me to them and anyone else who you think might be interested.

Where can I find the message board where people leave messages?

Sorry so many questions.

Regards, Tony.smiley - smiley

Good evening my dear...

Right then...Firstly.

As with your phone number and address etc. If you wish to leave them on there, then you can do. It's completely up to you and your decision. My advice is only against other people who would use them for "other" means, if you get my meaning...

I have actually spoken to someone regarding your personal space (a member of the BBC staff) and they're more than happy for you to leave all those details in if you wish to.

ACE's. There are approximately 80 ACE's on site (although not all at one time). If you click here <./>ACE</.> this will take you to the ACE's home page. If you need help, just leave a message there and someone will come and help you, although I am still here if you want help from me. I still have duties to newbies I have ACE'd in the past.

If you want to know about questions to the community, try here <./>askH2G2</.> Lots of people subscribe to this forum, so you should find some joy here.

Can I warn you against something though? There was a "gentleman" on site who was of "christian" background. He had a really good way of annoying people by saying they were sinners and if they didn't "hear" the voice of god, then they hadn't been forgiven for their sins. My only advice here, is not to go down that road. Some researchers can get quite nasty when it comes to things like religion being forced upon them.

Either way, you're more than happy to chat with my any time you like, and I wish you all the best with your quest.smiley - biggrin

Regards VV (ps, everyone calls me Vicki or VV on here smiley - winkeye)

Hi Toni,

Thank you for your help and advice.

You do not need to worry about me because I am the complete opposite to the person you described in your last reply. It is my belief that everyone should seek the truth independantly and search for thier own spirituality.

It is also my belief that we are all children of God and that God our Father loves each and everyone of us, and to put it in the words of the late Basil Hume; "God is in love with us."

We do not need to prove anything to God because He can see the beauty in everyone of us, a beauty because of society and religious teaching we cannot see ourselves. That is why we need to find our own spirituality and seek God independantly from our own hearts.

God Bless.

Regards, Tony.
