The South

I'm a resident of the city of Atlanta, Georgia, in the "deep" south of the US. I've read most douglas adams books, some repeatedly, and even in foreign language translation. I was very disappointed in some of the casting decisions in the hhgttg movie last year. I am a musician and work in the music download recommendations industry (it's a very small industry). As such, I am perplexed by the necessity of so many bands to have a falsetto equipped singer singing like thom yorke. People need to stop taking care of their voices, start drinking hard liquor and smoking cigars, whatever it takes to stop that bad vocal habit. This will not happen anytime soon. Oh well. Trends come and go. But there is room for improvement. The worst offendors are american bands trying to sound british. And usually from somewhere like Iowa. In a year or two they'll have to go get a job at the bank so I guess let them have their fun before reality hits. Maybe some of them will start writing better songs, or at least find some different influences. Maybe when they get bored with what they are doing. Meanwhile, there's always books. One of my favorite authors is Robert Sheckley. I wonder if doulgas adams ever read any of his books...
good luck!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
