That does raise a lot of interesting options and notions. It's a very good thing that I am such a good and innocent lad ...

Oh yes. Once I did one of those scientific surveys, in a magazine. And it assured me that I was innocent.

Five months you mean?
If you can, or don't actually mind, ... Can you explain something of this last op you needed? And if it's going to help get you back on your feet and into the real world soon?

Ok, basaically my left lung which was the one affected in the accident gave up the ghost a while ago, but the docters persevered in trying to restart it so it could work on its own again. Sadly that didn't work, and basically when your lung has no chance of working again naturally, they pronounce it dead. Some people can keep going on one lung only, but then they have to be very careful what they do and they are not allowed to over-exert themselves because one lung doen't bring in enough oxygen for a very active lifestyle. For me that meant that I wouldn't be able to surf, no gym, no partying... none of the stuff I love doing. Also it wouuld affect my work because I sometimes work insane hours and my body wouldn't be able to cope. So they gave me an option, but I didn't really have a choice, because I needed it. What they did was put in an artificial respirator that will force my lung to work. It's connected to my working lung, so it controls speed of breathing, etc, by monitoring and copying that one. So while my lung was considered 'dead', all the parts in it do still work, only they need some prodding to get going, which is what this thing does - it takes the air in an out of my lung like my lung ought to be doing. That's pretty much it I think. Well, at least that's the parts that I understand...
And yeah, now with both lungs working, it does mean that everything else will go faster which is a good thing.

So the alveoli and other oxygen-gathering bits were okay, but the strength stuff to pump had given up? I do hope that works out well for you then. One of my longest-known friends developed a bacterial infection in the one main wind pipe. By the time it was diagnosed and several treatments tried, that line is shut-down by a good 80%. He's about my age, and of the 6 children he has, 2 are still well under 10 years old. He can't play and entertain them as he wishes he could. It is sooooo frustrating for him.
I suppose that your corner of the world is slipping into it's autumn mode, eh? Beaches and surf slowing down again ...

Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Actually, even though we're halfway through Autumn, the beaches are really picking up coz we've been having some hectic weather over here that's causing 6 meter waves...

They've actually banned people from going to the beaches because the waves have broken the shark nets.

Ya see, the only sharks I know of are in the movies, or in the comics. Fierce or foolish ... I guess there's no other kind, huh?
