Sorry that I'm a bit late. I have a used notebook that I bought for the missus a couple of years ago. It got shakey, so I finally bought her a new one, and have tweaked and repaired the old one for fun-time in the living room. BUT ... the Windows2000 I had installed was getting shakey. So yesterday, I bit the bullet and wiped it, loading WindowsXP. I'm still adding the programs and other bits that I commonly use, and it's needing a LOT of restarts.

Yes, I saw the mail, and now that she's awake (sorta), I'll reply once the missus is in the shower. Poor girl has to work today. All I have to do is vote. Twice !!!

No, really, it's the local stuff. City Mayor, a handful of councillors. My missus actively campaigned for "the best woman for the job" as Mayor. And I kinda got dragged in to it.

Just as a BTW, it's been an "old boys club" for generations, and this is the first woman to seriously try for the Mayoral title. And I think she just might get it.

Nawww, this woman is solid but reasonable. And she has given me free ice-cream. She and her husband own and operate the small marina in this town, with boat fuel, electric, and a home-made ice-cream shack.

Way before my time, yes, but I had to do a history project on her back in school days...Wow that was long ago!!!
And I don't recall her ever giving free ice-cream...
