You open with "Let's try again with a title this time". So you refer to a previous attempt at starting a story, without saying where that attempt was or what went wrong with it.
I'm just a bit fanatical about keeping conversations on h2g2 self-contained. When you refer to something that happened somewhere else you should, I feel, provide a link. It's a personal idiosyncrasy. Don't let it trouble you.
I'm sorry if you felt that the cross-reference broke up your story. Try to let it carry on regardless.
