Traveller-in-Time has pointed me in your direction for a wee bit of advice or, better still, help!
Forgive the intrusion.
I signed in to GW site when first joining BBCi. Then I discovered that the site was due for closure. I had a story stored on GW, and decided that h2g2 might serve my purposes and interests more. So, in my ignorance, I copied and pasted the story from GW to h2g2 and then deleted the story from the GW site. TinT tells me that I have pasted it in the wrong place and that I've messed up (not in so many words, he's more polite than that!). So my question is: Is it possible for me to be taken out of GW altogether by you? And,is it also possible for you to sort out my stuff on h2g2 into the correct places on that site? Failing that, can you give me an idiot's guide to correct it myself?
If this amounts to too much work for your department, then please accept my apologies. I can still function without the corrections. I just don't want to mess up the site for my h2g2 friends and for your good self.
Sincerely,
Ron.

Hi Ronbloggs
It appears that you may have been misdirected here to Jim's page - with the best of intentions, I'm sure.
You don't have to do anything about your account at the moment unless you really want to. Your account is on WW2, so anyone wanting to leave a message at your message centre who is not already a member of WW2 will have to tick a box to say they agree with WW2's Terms and Conditions before they can talk to you.
On the other hand, if you swap to h2g2 any WW2 members will have to agree to the h2g2 Terms and Conditions in order to talk to you, so you'll just be swapping one problem for another similar one.
There is a temporary (I hope) technical glitch just at the moment that is unfortunately redirecting people to the wrong Terms and Conditions. This is why your h2g2 friends, like Lil, are getting confused but the problem won't go away if you switch. It's just that your WW2 friends will be confused rather than your h2g2 friends. On balance, it's probably better that your h2g2 friends are the ones to be confused because they have Gurus, like me, to ask for help .
When the day comes for WW2 to close, either contact the WW2 hosts or one of the h2g2 hosts to have your account changed over. There is a convenient form on Jimster's page (U292). Jimster and Jim are not the same person. Jimster is a host of h2g2 whereas Jim in the technical lead for the whole of dna.
You haven't done anything wrong that either Jim or Jimster need to sort out. Both A3627605 - The Rarest of U.K. Cars - and A3606040 - h2g2 What does this logo mean? - and your Personal Space can all be read by everyone.
You probably already know that your question in A3606040 was probably better asked in <./>Askh2g2</.> or in one of the <./>Feedback</.> sections but it's not doing any harm where it is. It doesn't need to be moved.
Welcome to h2g2. I hope you have a lovely time here. the Gurus are always here to help you out if needed. Just leave us a message on our page.

Sorry, Ronbloggs, it's not WW2 you're coming from but GW. See how easy it is to get confused here? Read the above with GW substituted for WW2.
