Jim,
I've left a message elsewhere but you are probably the man to talk to.
As suggested in the title, I can't get to my personal space and neither can other researchers. I just get a 'page not available' message or similar.
Obviously I can still log in and post messages but I've been thrown out of my own cyberspace home. Please help.
Big Issue...

The error message is:
NOT IMPLEMENTED
The server is unable to perform the method at this time.
Fathom, yours is the only user space I've found so far that is affected by this problem - I'm working both ways from your name on the online list. Can you give U numbers of people similarly afflicted?

I was about to ask the same thing. If you know anybody else who is similarly afflicted, that will help to isolate the reason why.

I took a guess, and my guess was right. I've fixed your personal space now. Post here if it happens again, though I doubt it will.

Jim, I can't find anyone else complaining about a similar error although there are several posts by people agreeing that they can't see Fathom's space. I think that's what Fathom means by '...and neither can other researchers.' It looks as if it's a problem peculiar to Fathom.
Fathom, the content of your page is still there. I can see it when I <./>testuserpage228418</.>.

Simulpost.

I think you're right, Amy. I panicked, thinking something we'd done had broken everyone's personal space.
It's an obscure bug, though, but it actually affects four other personal spaces. At least it's fixable.

And then again...
I still have problems opening my PS at times. It's as though the space is missing from one particular server or something. About half the time it opens normally and then the rest of the time it 'cannot be displayed'.
Any suggestions?

Hi Fathom
Have you got a firewall or some sort of internet security software e.g. Norman?

Fathom Posted Jul 15, 2004
Yes, I'm posting from work and we have a pretty sophisticated firewall here but it happens at home too and we don't have one there as we use dial-up.

There's definitely some problem there. I'm investigating.

Jim,
I'm still having problems.
Have you made any progress?

Jim Lynn Posted Jul 23, 2004
Not yet, I'm afraid. We haven't been able to reproduce it yet on test systems, so it's tricky to know what's going wrong.

Fathom Posted Jul 26, 2004
Perhaps it's fixed itself. I'll let you know if it happens again (if I can find my way back to this thread).

No, it's definitely still happening - you'll only see it on average one in four times.
