h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello, you don't know me but I got this email from Raven (Researcher6161791) I wondered what you would suggest.

Hey sweetheart!

I've been sitting with a problem with h2g2 - no one has chased me off, it's just that for the past few days it won't let me post any replies, journals, etc. It keeps showing "Greetings Unknown Hiker", even though it still shows me as being logged in, and it also says "Sorry, but you are restricted from posting to this site".
I havenn't done anything wrong so I know I haven't been banned from the site, so I emailed them and told them that I am using a wireless in hospital. They replied and said they had a problem with my IP address (even though it's the same one that I've been using for the past 5 months!). They said I have to send them an email from the ISP (gd knows!), or else I must get the hospital to email them.
That's bloody useless, so it seems I won't be on hootoo again...*sniff*


Could you or anybody else email him at [email protected] and explain to him calmly and rationally what he needs to do? Or me at [email protected]? Or even recommend someone else who might be able to help?

They need to email h2g2 dot feedback at bbc dot co dot uk who normally deal with this kind of thing. I believe they have already been in contact, so Raven should deal directly with them.

He's been in contact with someone but they couldn't help. He's using the hospital broadband so I guess he'll have to get them to email!
