h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've been trying to revamp my page to include a couple of lists. I can't get the line spacing correct. I've tried several combinations of and etc without success. The best I can do seems to result in line spaces between lines which spreads everything out too much. That comes from too much use of the Para break. Also I can't seperate columns without using a row of dots...................Spaces from the space bar just close up. Sorry if this is elementary stuff but I've been thro' the forums to find an answer without success. Help would be appreciated......Thanks.

If you want a list, you can get a bulleted list as follows:

First item
Second Item


To simply get a single line between lines, use (looks odd but this is correct).

For spacing between columns, you have to resort to tables.



First Col
Second Col


Second row, Col 1
Second row, Col 2
