Hi Just returned from 20 day transatlantic cruise. Two weeks around Caribbean, then six days across to the Canary Islands.
Yes, still in masons. Promoted to 30th degree. New members three this year. They are queuing up. Sorry to hear of your Buffs. Best wishes with that. How are things with you?

Me!keeping national health going, I hit 65 in 3 mth ARGH!!! can't really grumble on health thoughbasically just a lack of exercise

On Monday the 13th day of October in the year of our Lord, in the reign of our soverweign, b y the grace of God, Queen Elizabeth the second, 2014, I attained the age of 65. I am now a wrinkly, a crinkly, an OAP, a twerlie and a Victor Meldrew.

There are 33 degrees in masonry. Each degree is a rank. I have 30 of them.

Look after yourself and don't forget to keep in touch. old friends are priceless.

do you get them on time served in the Order, or on attendance ?

our 2nd degree is "earnt" via a sort of exam. Then 3rd and 4th degrees are on time and attendance. minimum 40 lodge attendances in each year to qualify

from 2nd degree it's 3 yr to 3rd and then 5yr to 4th

The first 3 are conferred on you through rituals. The Grand Lodge rank I hold is because I have been through the chair twice and because of the rituals I have performed. The 30th because if varuious rituals and the fact I was in the chair of one branch of masonry for three years.
