A little bit about myself
I am an Earthling in my 5th decade. I am of the male gender. I am of European origin - have lived in Australia (7years) but presently resident on my birth continent. I lay no claim nor profess special allegiance to any particular nation on this planet. Statistically speaking I have lived more than 50% of my life away from my birthplace.
I am married to a similarly European person of the female gender. We have no children.
In a previous relationship I discovered the joy and pain of parenthood. I have a son, aged 30yrs. who lives in the antipodes.
My interests are many and multiple. I had aspirations to be a writer but I got ensnared in the business of reading and watching television. H2G2 is therapy to help cure my personal apathy
I love music - art - conversation - good food - travel - nature - outdoor activities and most of all people.
I am not exceptionally enamoured of digital watches.
I feel sincerely sympathetic for Marvin - being under-utilised when one has a brain as big as a planet makes not for a happy android.
That's about all for now - this is a work in progress.
From a very young age the written word has held a potent hold over me. I was always to be found with my nose in a book and reading is still my occupation of choice, Catholic in my taste I read mystery and mysticism, novel and biography, philosophy and fantasy, Reading is what stops me writing for I have the bug and thanks to h2g2 I am becoming more disciplined in my efforts. I know that I shall find my direction someday soon.
