and who is beladona?
Beladona is me and I am beladona -- if you see me wandering about in cyberspace, say hi! Beladona started out life about 23 years ago in a RPG group that was simply a joy to play with. I mean -- we were really organized, had battle plans and truly stayed in character [i.e. if you said it you did it]. We played in a regional gaming conference back in '85, and won. Not only did the group take home the prize -- but I personally swept the Son of Pun Dungeon contest, and I have the plaque to prove it!
Son of Pun Dungeon was a game in which you had to create puns in order to do magic. The DM stopped keeping score on me after the first day ... What this says about my command of the English language, and my ability to annoy those around me is best left for silent reflection at this late date.
Beladona was my very first character -- a halfling thief who spent most of her time ferreting out traps for all those big burly warrior types and was not above doing a little assasin work on the side. She and her twin, Primadona, went on many an adventure. Primadona died an inglorious death after pissing off a dwarf who traveled with us; Beladona ended up rich enough to buy her own keep and retire, altho rumor has it that she is not above fencing .... That is, of course, just a rumour and she would have to sue any person spreading such infamous allegations!
I played many other characters, from a bezerker cleric to gnomes to warriors to bards, but Beladona has always been my favorite!
