but he wasn't - she came along but nothing ever happened between us... She wanted it but James was always too wrapped up in his 'vision' of what you were to him and toys at the time... he kept you from it because it was all politics and he never wanted you drawn into that side of it too much for it destroyed his chances many many years ago with another lady in his life....

If James is guilty of anything it is seeing you as the way he wanted to see you and not seeing you for who you truly were.... his one biggest failing....

And yet... Jack and Lilandra have been drawn to each other since their first meeting.. when he saved her life in a hunting accident in the forest. Then James came along and rode off with her,before she could do or say anything to him or Jack.

I know... It is a messed up in the head situation.... I personally agree James and Lilandra is not the best but James is blind to it... he sees his ideal of her and wants to preserve it like a picture in a way but that is not good for Lilandra...

Maybe if James could overcome his flaws then James and Lilandra would work perfectly but until then Jack and Lilandra works better....

Lilandra needs to be free... Jack understands that need and will allow her free rein... just enough to sate her appetite for the forest. He would even be willing to join her.
