The tedious about me section.
Hi there. If you're reading this, you must be pretty damned bored, but dont come crying to me looking for sympathy as I am pretty damned bored otherwise I wouldn't be writing yet another "about me" bit for another site. But, this site is more special than MySpace or any of its foul making-friends style rivals, no. This is the Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy website, and therefore, this section should be be something rather good to read. I apologise in advance if you disagree.
I'm Gregg Bayes and I'm a writer. Or at least, I want to be one. I am currently doing a creative and professional writing degree at Glamorgan university, and one thing I've noticed is that it rains a lot. I would like to point out at this juncture that I am not Welsh, I just ended up in Wales. I personally believe that it was the fact that I spent a year of my life in Luton (a cold sweat just came over me) that drove me to such extremes as to run away to Wales.
It was in Luton that I realised that I wanted to write and not work with schizophrenics as I was at the time. Since then, I've been working on numerous little plans and projects and somehow have ended up getting into uni despite my lack of A Levels, go me. Although the stress levels haven't really changed, at least now people don't try to rearrange my face with a dining room chair every morning. I find that that only happens now whenever the football is on.
I've long known of h2g2, and often come here to read various entertaining entries, but it only occoured to me recently to actually join. You would've thought wanting to be a writer who wants to write sci-fi comedy novels, being a life long Douglas Adams fan, insisting on carrying a towel on long journeys and really wanting to unleash my craft on the masses, the thought would've occoured earlier. I personally, and without any evidence to back it up, blame Luton.
