No Brandon never goes on h2g2 any more. His computer is officially stupid, and won't work when he trys to sign on. I'll read him all the messages next time i call him I guess. And no I don't think he's in a marching band. Just the school band. Normally middle schools don't have marching bands, just high schools. But if he doesn't get into the arts high school, I beleave he signed up for Jupiter high too, whitch I KNOW has a marching band, so he'll probably be in it. Not sure though.
Shall I go with the in thing? SURE!

All I know is that we can play DVDs here that my housemates bought in China and Indonesia and places like that, but that might be like a Pacific region DVD or something...

yeah it's a different format, they did that to stop pirating and stuff, although if you get pecial programs for your computer and stuff I think it can work on there but I dunno.

Australians: Skips
British people: Poms
New Zealanders: Kiwis
Americans: Yanks
There are more, but I can't think at the moment. They're not intended to be offensive - more like an affectionate nickname...

Yeah - we call Australians "Aussies" too. Then, if we're referring to nationality groups, we'll probably call them Skips.
The people from Hong Kong who go to our school call themselves Honkies.
The Indians and Sri Lankans who go to our school call themselves Curries.
The Australian-born Asians often refer to themselves as ABCs (Australian Born Chinese).
Some people who don't go to our school or aren't friends with these people might mistake these for racist terms, but they're not. Everyone uses them, even the people who are of that particular background. There's no room for racism at our school, because it's VERY multicultural. It's about 35% Indian/Sri Lankan, 35% Asian (from all Asian countries, especially Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Malaysia) and 30% Aussie. There are, of course, people from many other backgrounds - Greek, Italian, British, Egyptian, German, American... most countries you can think of have some sort of representation, however small.
But, like I said - you cannot live in a city like Melbourne and have racist ideals. There are so many people here from all over the world. You walk down a street in the city and you'll hear Cantonese and Mandarin and Arabic and Greek and English in a variety of accents. It's really cool. The Mayor of Melbourne, John So, is a naturalised Australian who speaks with a very pronounced Asian accent (I'm not entirely sure which country he's from).
Anyway, the point is, if you want to preach racism in a city like Melbourne, you probably wouldn't walk out of it with all your limbs intact. I, for one, can't stand racism at all.

it's nice that ur school is so multicultural. most schools around here arn't it's not coz their racist, just because wear you live, is where you go to school (in most cases) and I guess it just so happens that people like to live in places with people like them selves so their children are stuck going to school with people like themselves.
This is except for my school. People from all over the come to my school. Some wake up at 3:00 AM to ride the train to school. So our school is very multicutural. I would like to visit Melbourne some day though. It sounds very nice

*feels left out* my school isnt... we have forign exchenge students every once in a while... we have about(not meaning to sound rude) 3 blacks, 1/3 are mexican, and the rest are us hicks that live in the mt's... I would give anything to live somewhere like Melborne!!
