What you do next depends largely on what you hope to get out of the site. If you have any particular interests you can use the search h2g2 facility at the top of the page. Otherwise I'd suggest exploring.
No matter how far from home you find yourself you can always get home by clicking the "my space" button. You can find other researcher's spaces by clicking on the name at the top of postings. Looking at conversations on their pages will give you a good idea as to what's going on, and you should receive a visit from an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) shortly to give you a formal welcome and some handy tips and links, though almost anyone will be happy to assist you if you need it.
