Lost in Translation
Posted Apr 5, 2004
yesterday I was at the cinema and watched Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola. that was a beautiful film, if you get the chance, you have to see it. in some scenes with Bill Murray, I laughed till I was crying, and the girl, Charlotte, was very similar to me.

British people, what have you got to say for yourselves?
Posted Apr 5, 2004
came across this in the morning paper:
"Brits believe in heroes from tales
LONDON. Every tenth Brit thinks Adolf Hitler is fictitious. contrary to that, every second of the people questioned thinks that King Arthur and the knights of the round table have really lived. this was a survey by the British daily paper Sunday Telegraph. every fourth of the 2000 questioned didn't know if the famous battle of Trafalgar had really happened. 5% of the questioned people believed that the movie character Conan the Barbarian, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, was a real person." a bit frightening, isn't it?

Amsterdam
Posted Mar 22, 2004
spent the day yesterday in Amsterdam. it was nice to see again, I've been there before about 3 years ago, some parts are very pretty. weather was cold and windy, not so great to go for a walk along the grachten. I would have liked to visit an art museum, but my company (sister) wanted to make a shopping tour. so we were shopping. bought some cheap books, nothing more. but it was good, nevertheless. it was very relaxing to go travelling again, and at the end of the day you're glad to be home again, something which I never feel at other times.

well, the topic says it. met the man today together with his little son. so sweet! no, I'm not going any further. he's too old for me anyway. but: ahh...
I think I love him.
I really need to meet someone more my age. will meet the right one sometime...
