I noticed you said that you're enjoying the new series of Doctor Who. I was never interested in the old Doctor Who very much but I decided to watch this cos it looks more like something that young people and old people will all enjoy.
Have you seen any of the old Doctor Who movies or anything?
Is it really true that Christopher Eccleston isn't going to do another series of Doctor Who? I think he's really good at it. He's funny and touching at the right moments.
What are your thoughts on Doctor Who so far?

I don't have much of a history of watching Dr Who previously. I remember it being on Saturdays but I think I got frustrated by the fact that each program was usually part of a story - sort of three or four episode mini-arcs. They seem to have gone for a more standalone approach this time which I think works a lot better - although I think what happened to The Doctor's home planet may be a background arc. My nephew and niece aged seven and five seem to like it as does hubbie who is a long term Who fan so it does seem to be doing a good job of satisfying both its potential old and new fans - it's already got a second series so the revival looks like it's here to stay - woo-hoo .
I'm afraid it is true about Chris Eccleston leaving after this series apparently he doesn't wish to typecast. One of the previous doctors (Colin Baker) has had a go saying that if you don't want to be typecast and aren't in it for the long haul you don't argee to play the Doctor. What's really going on with the bloke is anyone's guess really. It's a shame as I argee with you he's really good but then I've been a fan of his ever since seeing him in "Our Friends From the North" which I think was probably about ten years ago since they played an Oasis track over the closing titles. The half full is that the guy who is rumoured to be replacing him
is the bloke who's playing Cassanova and having been seen the first two episodes of that on BBC3 he seems to be a good actor too. The only real downside is that I liked the Chris Eccleston character and that any new guy will have to have a completely different personality as The Doctor always has a complete personality change after re-gening - I hope the new persona works too. Russel T Davies is a good writer so I have faith in him being able to pull it off, he's not let us down so far .

So even if Chris doesn't come back for a new series then there'll still be a new series? I'm glad about that but I really hope that I'm gonna like the next Doctor Who as much as I like him now. He's the best thing about it for me. So everytime the actor changes, they incoporate that into the storyline?
My dad used to watch Doctor Who and he said that the old Doctor Who was more serious, and this one's more comedic. But that's good because it gives us Buffy fans another tv show to sink our teeth into.
