Outrider Posted Feb 18, 2004
Hi Midnight Angel.
I too enjoyed our chats and am more than happy to continue them.
It was unfortunate that a misunderstanding between two hootooers took place. As I've said before, this is a wonderful place but you cannot see the sender or know what they were intending. The same is true for the reader.
I enjoyed the rabbit hole, but because of hootoo server problems, my health (temporary issue) and the dogs being unwell, I wasn't posting as often as I would have liked. That's why others got bored perhaps?
Hootoo is a great place for me. I can be silly in a hole or serious about god (some very smart posters out there).
Look forward to meeting up again, soon.

"It was unfortunate that a misunderstanding between two hootooers took place. As I've said before, this is a wonderful place but you cannot see the sender or know what they were intending. The same is true for the reader."
Very true im not sure if they amended their differences or not but i hope they did.
Thats right you cant see who your talking to or know what there true intentions are.
Its a sad afair though when you feel you have to watch everything you say because of the way people missinterperate things.
I like to come on line for a chat and a laugh and never expect or want anything more.
I look at it like this treat me with respect i will return that back .
"I enjoyed the rabbit hole, but because of hootoo server problems, my health (temporary issue) and the dogs being unwell, I wasn't posting as often as I would have liked. That's why others got bored perhaps?"

Sounds like great minds (or is it fools?).
I dont worry too much about what others say but that's probably because I've been a biker and sort of hippy all my life. (According to a sidepatch club I know the 2 don't mix ).
I try not to agitate others (sorry Pheloxi, Odo, V V, Lil me etc) but a gentle dig is humour to me. (I work and play with scousers, no topic is forbiden to their humour, and I love em for it. But when the chips are down, scousers stand by you).
The angle to a comment can be vital. The first time VFRgal went out with her mates, after our accident, she well and truely put her foot in it. Another biker spotted her walking on crutches and got chatting.
He said that he'd bet the driver(me) walked away without a scratch. She told him that I could only count to 9 and a half. He got agitated and asked if she thought she was being funny. No she replied " he lost the tip of his finger". Guy storms off. Then VFRgal notices he only had one arm! ONLy VFRgal could do it.
We've both made fun of the crash, it happened but we're still here, still working and ok some of our play has changed for ever, but we still play (she misses bikes sooo much).
Being nosey I gotta ask;
What is *C*h*e*l*l*?
Catch ya in da "hole" so to speak.
right back at ya.

Thank you for contacting me and sending me this note, MA.Yes it would be interesting to continue.
Gone back to Liquid Warrior. Why should I change? I'm the victim here, not the villian.
Once bittin twice, shy I shall just be more careful whom I contact that's all.
Hello :)
Outrider Posted Feb 20, 2004
Tis not a case of victims and/or villans but of different viewpoints.
I hope that past is past but constantly changing names is not (in my view) helpful.
On to the of foolishness!

Midnight Angel (ACE / G~A / GODDESS) Posted Feb 21, 2004
hello both.
Like outrider said its not a case of being a victim or villan it was merly a miss understanding is what i feel.
I thought it would have been sorted out by now.
its a shame if you feel you can't sort it out like adults should and spoil friendships you all made together.
Life is to short for argueing amonkst ourselfs...

Its usually xmas you get thjose dreaded gifts you wish you can just hide away.
Hello :)
Researcher 585332 Posted Feb 21, 2004
Yes MA, you are of course right.
As to the presents. I got a Christmas card with a joke in is it. It said;
We held a collection for prizes for our after Christmas raffle. So far people have donated 33 pairs of socks, 45 handkerchiefs, 22 bottles of novelty beer, 52 Daniel O'Donnell cd's and 15 bottles of cheap after shave. Dispite all these wonderful prizes, no-one seems to want to buy a ticket. We can't understand why.
If you wish to write I'm back on Liquid Warrior, with a new page setup, perhaps you'd like to have a look at Liquid Gold pages.

Monday night last one, then back in on days Wed Thurs & Fri
Hello :)
Outrider Posted Feb 24, 2004
I'm back on days Thur/Fri, nights Sat/Sun. With a BA course on Fri, including searching a blacked out room for bodies in the midst of a tape playing explosions.
Hello :)
The Liquid Warrior (Vescere bracis meis) Posted Feb 25, 2004
Now this I find an interesting posting
Explsoions?
Tapes?
Hello :)
Outrider Posted Feb 25, 2004
It's meant to simulate a process unit blowing (or rather the aftermath). They black out the visor on the Breathing Apparatus and send us in as a rescue team to find a body (which is meant to be unconcious). There are lockers, desks etc strewn around and the tape is playing quite loud noises like electrical arcing, banging and explosions. Good practise and fun until you go underneath a desk but the BA set goes over it (gives you an idea how a fish might feel).
They also do real fire fighting puting out fires on 6ft high compressors with 2 men and just 2 extinguishers. I will always respect fire but never fear it after about 10 goes at this.
We also have our own fire crews, and they are VERY good.

The Liquid Warrior (Vescere bracis meis) Posted Feb 26, 2004
Ah, I did not know you were with the fire brigade
I thought you were dealing with sound effects in some sort of drama capacity. Sounds quite horrendous. I must say, I've always admired you guys. They tried to make me a fire warden here where I work. It was okay until they realised I had to wear a metal brace on my leg to help me walk. Even after several, operations on both knees and spine, I would still be more of a hazard then a help. But at least I don't have to wear the brace any more.Unoriginal people still call me Hopalong, gimpy and other silly names.
Hello :)
Outrider Posted Feb 26, 2004
No, i'm not with the fire brigade. I don't have that kind of courage.
I work with some nasties in a laboratory and have to be able (as do all full shift "labbies") to deal with an emergency.
I would NEVER presume to compare us to the real deal.
Key: Complain about this post
