I thought the whole URL thing was only a month-long trial. Trouble is, time seems to dilate on h2g2 for some reason.

Population increase for Sortland, eh? Blue city becomes blue movie?

Mmmm, well, quite. I'm not in really in any sort of position for that sort of thing at the moment.

That's my excuse, anyhow, and no amount of temptation with talk of open-faced sandwiches will draw me further on the subject. smiley - winkeye

* abruptly changing subject * Any more monochromatic metropolises that you know of? I'm sure *you've* painted the town of Bergen red more than once or twice.

NZ has gone rugby mad - and I think its time for the strait-jacket and electro-shock treatment. The NZ Rugby Football Union wanted to co-host the Rugby World Cup with Australia. However the NZRFU couldn't legally agree to the contract (sponsorship and this methinks has provided Oz with a convenient excuse to go it alone. In the true spirit of sportsmanship NZ is jumping up and down saying it isn't fair. Even the Government is taking action to try and work something out. So much for just a game...

Well, I'm going to Kristiandsand tomorrow, My father-in-law, the professor, is 75, and have invited "everybody" to celebrate in the little pearl of a Southern Norwegian city. (Traditionally all the houses in this part of the country is painted white.smiley - biggrin) http://www.kristiansand.com/
We have already been to a birthday-dinner with the Institute of Atomic physics here in Bergen where they held four mini-lectures about his merits through the years, like "Comparison between quantal and classical scattering dynamics in highly charged ion-atom collisions" and "Cross Sections for Electron Capture in H-B(q+) and He-B(q+) (q=1,3,5) collisions". Very interesting... [bigeyes]

An as colours go: My severely stubbed pinky-toe (this weekend) is still attached to the end of my foot, and there's a nice black/blue pattern slowly spreading over it (the foot)that looks like camouflage for the militzia in Blueberry-land. smiley - bigeyes

As in Blueberry toe-jam? smiley - yuk

Those physics guys sound like a nuclear reactor of laughs - I suppose for the professor they got a woman to jump out of a particle accelerator wearing dynamic, classically-scattered ion atom collisions?
