diagnosed with ME so mainly reading, sleeping, doing superfluous online things and whinging lots and lots

Yes, it is fricking freezing down here too. And while it's only 20 minutes away, Inglewood where I work manages to be several degrees colder.
I'm currently working as the news editor/reporter/vision mixer for 7 Taranaki Television. I have no idea exactly why I do it, although I suspect my Catholic upbringing has something to do with it.
If you'll permit me to rant:
-the pay is so negligible they actually forgot to pay me for several months and neither of us noticed;
- we currently have no news camera person and the one we did have was a lazy moron who cost us an important interview with Barbara Kendall (the reason for his ultimate dismissal);
- no camera person means no news clips, so this means the news is five to seven minutes of watching someone read
- the equipment we use to record the news gets less and less by the day, as production staff go out to do the stuff that's paid for
But hey! we currently have the best radio news on regional tv! And thank God/Allah/Buddha for this country's strict gun control laws!
