I was reading the guide entry on Yoga Nidra and I think we used to do something similar in my Yoga classes.
The bit about your teacher telling you to relax parts of your body is familiar but I never really got the hang of it!
You mentioned you took classes.
Is there a national organisation you can ring up to find classes in your area?
Tried on the web but not much sucess!
I live in Cambridge and have a list of all the yoga classes but have never heard of Yoga Nidra before.
Would like to give it a try as I am going through a stressful time and Yoga allways helps me relax.
Can you recomend a good tape/cd in the event that I can't find a teacher?
Thanks
Hazel

Hi Hazelnut and apologies for not replying sooner. I only went away with the kids for a week, but it's taken me an additional week to catch up with domestic chores
If you follow the link below, it will take you to a UK site that sells Yoga Nidra tapes. The two that I have are probably no longer available as I bought them in the early 1980's.

I also visited the British Wheel of Yoga website and found a link to a Yoga teacher in your area who has her own website that has contact details on.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks Gwenni!
The yoga cafe has classes near the village I might be moving to!
I will investigate the tape situation.
My tape player is really noisey can you use a walkman do you think?
They prob sell CD's now anyway which would be better.
I have a house inspection on tuesday so I better get cleaning and tidying aswell.
Enjoy your sunny afternoon
(If it is sunny where you are!)
Take care

I'm glad the links were helpful Hazelnut
I live in County Durham, not far from Durham and it's been a lovely sunny day here but my kids and I spent the afternoon in the cinema watching the latest Austin Powers film 'Gold Member'.
What is your house inspection for (it sounds intimidating!)? The last similar thing I can remember having to that was when I moved out of Army married quarters way back in the 1980's! I believe it was called 'marching out inspection' or something equally as ridiculous!

I have a house inspection every 6 months by the rental agency to make sure I haven't wrecked the place.
It is sooo tidy now.
I can't get the morning of work so they will have to use their key and that is a bit freaky.
I will take all my cards etc with me to work just in case.
Enjoy the sun

Ewww! That sounds rather dictatorial! I certainly wouldn't like to live with an inspection to look forward to every six months. Poor old you! Is that sort of contract normal for rented properties?
