My emails to you are getting bounced back to me

So please don't think I'm ignoring you. Has your address changed? When you get the time/inclination can you email me so that I can check the address.

Hmmm... Can't think what the problem would be there...I'll pop an Email into the ether this very evening.

I've been tied up (I should be so lucky!) with domestic drudgery in RL and owe lots of Emails to lots of friends.

Did my reply get to you? I had a transient delivery failure, but it's supposed to keep trying to send.

There's nothing from you as yet (7.18 p.m.)and I can't understand what the problem could be...

I think it is freeserve rather than you. The same thing happens to other emails I send via them. For some reason our mail server has to take several attempts to get it through. I'll ask Kelvin very nicely when he finally gets in if he can check it for me.

So its not just my Email address that's giving you problems? I suppose that a relief of sorts - from my point of view anyway.

It does make me wonder whether any of my other friends might be having trouble sending me mail though...

Is your ISP Freeserve? Perhaps you could contact your ISP, whoever they are and they might be able to shed some light on the situation.

Our ISP is ntl, the problem is with freeserve as it only happens with emails via them.

They probably haven't got enough bandwidth to handle the traffic to their servers.

Still not got anything yet then? Kelvin was in late last night and will be again this evening, so it will probably be the weekend before he has time to check our mail server.

Nope - still nothing. I assume that the Email hasn't yet been returned to you then.

I wonder whether it is NTL that has the problem...

One of my very good friends who worked for NTL was made redundant shortly before Christmas. Mind you, she's not exactly unhappy about it as her husband is ill and it gives them more time together. (He had a heart transplant EIGHT years ago and she feels that they're on borrowed time together).

We're all well here (thanks for asking) although Chris has just done his usual trick of knocking over an entire glass of cola down the side of a chair, on the floor and over John's guitar!

I do hope, that if the guitar is electric, it wasn't plugged in, or if it was John wasn't playing it at the time

I had my usual round of dreams last night that make absolutely no sense at all. The menfolf would say that is the average state of my brain anyway

But in one dream I was in the sitting room of a rather nice house when a broom suddenly appeared in my fireplace and loads of dust was shaken out which went all over my lovely clean room (IRL I wouldn't have noticed the difference ).

I yelled up the chimney as the broom was pulled back up:

'Gwennie! Can't you shake that out of the window?'

I've been blamed for a lot of things in my lifetime, but shaking a down a chimney until now hadn't been one of them!

It could be that you're subconsciously worrying that your chimney needs sweeping...

I've tried from four different email accounts, and they've all been bounced. On discussion with H the only thing he can think of is that either your inbox is full or your ISP doesn't like me !
